As Humans we evolve and so does our Style. At some point in time, your style will change. This could be as a result of what we see, hear, feel, think or believe in. We need to embrace this change, curate it and watch it grow. Finding your Personal Style is a process of connecting who you are and what you stand for with your to your clothing pieces. So, we've put together a list to guide you through this process of finding your own style.

#1. Learn About Your Physique
Education is key and Knowledge is power. Take the time out today to learn about the different body types and what body shape you have. Embrace your body. Love your body. Understand your body and what works for you. Remember your worth is not determined by the size of your waist.
Here are the 5 body types:
Inverted Triangle - The bust is wider than the hips.
Pear - Hips are wider than the bust with defined waist.
Rectangle - Shoulders, waist and hips are about the same width.
Round - Larger a bust with a fuller mid-section and narrow hips.
Hourglass - Bust and hips are of similar width with a narrow waist.
#2. Understand Your Personality | Know Who You Are
Learn more about yourself each day. How would you currently describe your personality? Write it down in your journal, diary or notepad. Be curious to know who you are as an individual and how you want to present yourself to the world. Then incorporate your personality into your style.

What colours do you prefer? Colours can have a significant impact on our moods and outfits

Do you like leather or animal prints? How 'bout that puffy jacket? Short sleeve, long-sleeve or sleeveless? Short Hair, Long hair or no hair? Heels or Sneakers?
Do you prefer the sky to the moon? or do you like the stars even better? - lol, well that's a stretch, sure you get the point now. Identify What like, hate, love, what will make you throw up, what will put a smile on your face and what will make you moody. Get to know yourself better.

Comfort is Key to discovering your style. If you don't feel comfortable in it try a different one. What clothing pieces do you always reach out for and why? Do you like subtle looks or eye catching looks? Do you want to feel cozy in your outfits or you like a bit of tension? Ask why, think about it and write them down.

See it, Pin it! Screenshot it. Save it. Analyse it. What do you like about it? Do you really like it? Does it resonate with you? It does? Okay! try it out. Do you still like it? Yes? Then go for it and keep being inspired.

#6. Analyze Your Current Wardrobe
Identify what your wardrobe is missing. Identify worn out clothes and items you've worn one in a year, or items you've never worn. So you've identified what you like, you found some inspirations on Pinterest or Instagram. Could even be your next door neighbour and you've found some styles/outfits that resonates with you. It is important to not drown in the trend. Finding your style is not about what celebrities or your friends are wearing, it's about what you want to wear and be identified in. Be the unique and amazing person you are and never trade your identity for acceptance.

The most exciting part of finding your style is shopping. At this point you are either partially aware of what your style is or fully aware of what your style is. Don't get too excited and buy everything you see. Don't be a that'll look good when I start working at that office...lemme get it type of consumer. Buy what you need! It's winter, buy coats and items that'll keep you warm. Make a budget before going to the stores and stick to your budget! Invest in affordable long lasting items. Shop around compare the prices and qualities. Be a smart shopper.

So, you've made wise purchases *fingers crossed* and got lovely pieces. We usually create a signature pieces without realizing it. You'll find that you always wear a similar design of necklace, braclette or sunglasses. It could even be scarves, hats or watches. If you don't already have a signature piece that's fine, you don't need to have one but eventually you'll find that you always reach out for that one item when getting dressed.
